Alpha Phi at UCLA represents a dynamic group of young women paving their way into successful futures through volunteering, social activities and academic excellence. Alpha Phis dance and cheer for the Bruins, row for the UCLA Crew Team, play hard for the UCLA Tennis Team, and kick butt on the soccer field! Not only are Alpha Phi women physically active, they are also active in student government, the Daily Bruin, and the local community. We look out for one another and rejoice in each other's accomplishments. The collection of friendships formed in Alpha Phi without a doubt last a lifetime!

The very heart of Alpha Phi membership is connected by a common set of ideals. Alpha Phi offers a unique bond of sisterhood, a spirit of generosity, high expectations for character and a drive for innovation. These are our High Ideals of Membership, which define what it truly means to be an Alpha Phi.

Our sorority is dedicated to nurturing personal growth and academic excellence. We strive to empower our members to reach their fullest potential, providing them with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to succeed. By encouraging intellectual curiosity and fostering a culture of continuous learning, we equip our members with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their chosen paths.

At Alpha Phi, each one of us brings something exceptional to our sisterhood. Whether it be academic advice, networking guidance, or career opportunities, each of our members touch nearly all majors and career tracks imaginable. The wealth of shared knowledge and expertise has led to opportunities such as internships with the ‘Big 3’ consulting firms and positions at NASA being passed down through generations of Alpha Phis. I am constantly in awe of how our club presidents, division one athletes, and EMTs balance work, class, and all the fun that UCLA and Alpha Phi have to offer.

However, our accomplishments extend far beyond our individual achievements. We firmly believe in the importance of giving back to the community that has supported us. Through various philanthropic initiatives we actively engage in charitable endeavors that address critical matters. From hosting our own ‘Mr. Greek’ to attending service events across campus organizations, we are determined to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us.

Over the years, our sorority has accomplished remarkable feats, driven by the passion and dedication of our members. Our collective efforts have resulted in tangible outcomes that have touched countless lives. We hold each other accountable to ensure that each one of us exceeds expectations and realizes our true potential. Our mission statement reads ‘Alpha Phi is a sisterhood of women supporting one another in lifelong achievement.’ Alpha Phi members practice this from the peaks and valleys of college to life long afterward. The journey of independence and growth through early adulthood can be nothing short of treacherous, and having a sisterhood as strong and as supportive as our own has made navigating life away from home effortless. From weekend trips to in-house sleepovers and everything in between, the women in this home have shaped my college experience and made my time at UCLA so valuable.

As President, Alpha Phi allowed me to truly flourish at UCLA. Through loving friendships, a supportive sisterhood, and encouraging leadership, Alpha Phi has enabled me to grow into the ambitious, confident, and diligent woman I am today. I am profoundly transformed by the experience of leadership within Alpha Phi. It is a privilege to serve in this role, and I am honored to lead a group of such amazing and impressive women who continually inspire me. Leading our sorority has been a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. It has pushed me outside of my comfort zone and challenged me to embrace new responsibilities and navigate complex situations.

Through this experience, I have witnessed firsthand the power of collaboration and the strength that lies within our collective wisdom. Our sorority is composed of diverse individuals, each with unique strengths and perspectives. Harnessing the collective talents and ideas of our members has been a remarkable experience, one that has taught me the value of listening, empathy, and inclusivity.

I have no doubt that I will continue to utilize these skills long after my time as a Bruin.

As I reflect on our past achievements, I am excited about the future that lies ahead. Alpha Phi is committed to continuously evolving, embracing diversity, and striving for excellence. Our sorority is a vibrant and dynamic community, offering a platform for personal growth, meaningful connections, and lifelong friendships. I am deeply grateful for the friendships I have formed within Alpha Phi. They have shaped me into the leader I am today and have given me strength, inspiration, and a profound sense of belonging. I am humbled by the incredible women who make up our sisterhood and the friendships that bind us together.
